It Works I don't know what kind of sorcery goes into these wipes that makes them work 10x better than what my doctor prescribed, but believe the hype! For months I've been suffering from blepharitis and eyelid dermatitis. (eczema) - scaly red rashes on both of my lids. These wipes have worked when nothing else has. They are unfortunately on the expensive side, so I cut each wipe into fourths using clean hands and a pair of sterilized scissors. I put the other three back into the packet and fold it over. It's moisturizing so you don't need to put anything else on your lids. It's important to mention that while they do wonders for the clogged oil glands, they won't solve the underlying issue of eyelid dermatitis. For that, you'll need to discover what the irritant is, either by process of elimination or doing a patch test with your dermatologist. But the wipes do a great job of keeping the symptoms at bay, so they're worth every penny. 5The BEST treatment for blepharitis, or for dry, dusty eyes I thought I had chronic dry eye, but I got referred to an eye doctor who correctly diagnosed that I had blepharitis, and he recommended I use these eyelid scrubs. He also recommended a bunch of other stuff, but the thing that really made a major difference was these scrubs, so I discontinued the other recommendations and just kept using these scrubs. At first I used one scrub in the AM and one in the PM, but after a week or two, my symptoms were almost gone, so I cut back to one a day. Now, a couple of months later, I just use them whenever I notice symptoms, which is maybe once every 2-3 days. I can't guarantee the same results for you, but I highly recommend these scrubs if you have blepharitis or symptoms of dry eye when you wake up in the AM. (my symptoms were always at their worst when I woke up in the morning) 5I love it! works for me! i discovered the product when i was researching help for my chronic dry eye. i read the reviews and decided it would be worth a try. i was skeptical at first because the wipes were so moist. but after i used them the first time, i was sold. the wipe cleared my eyelashes from the specs of dust, other irritants n such that collect through out the day. the wipe cleans the areas very well and leaves the eye moist and clean - no burning, no rinsing. previously i ordered another brand of lid cleaner - however, i was sent a box of cleaner without an expiration date. it went straight to the garbage. anyway, this product works great and helps prevent the gritty, sand in the eye feeling. thanks. 5My young son was dealing with chalazions-- painful, sore If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! My young son was dealing with chalazions-- painful, sore, and unsightly..... they would grow very large and kept returning after clearing up by simper means (such as moist head and/or washing with baby shampoo). When we finally tried these wipes, his lids cleared up within a matter of DAYS (after struggling with the issue for over a year) !!! I can honestly say we have not had another issues since. Not a single tiny bump to start at all! We do continue to use the pads daily even though his issue may be gone forever. We skip a day here and there, but because of the difficult past struggle and the obvious benefit we saw, we believe the cost is worth it for a while.I hadn't thought to cut the pads, though, so I am thankful to have gained that idea from other reviewers. The pads are indeed larger than might be needed. 5The ointment would work like the hydrocortisone but again I had what I now know is blepharitis for about half a year. During this time, I went to my own physician who prescribed hydrocortisone. I used it but it would always come back and didn't want to keep applying it to my eyelid!! From there, I went to my optometrist to see if it was an eye problem. He gave me steroid eye drops, anti histamine eye drops, and then regular eye drops. Yet again, it was a temporary fix, and the problem would come again. Went to the dermatologist who gave me tacrolimus ointment and allegra. The ointment would work like the hydrocortisone but again, it'd keep coming back. My final stop was at an opthamologist. He was completely useless as he told me to just keep using the tacrolimus since it's "working" and that the problem will never go away so just keep using the ointment. It's extremely irritating hearing that there's nothing that can be done and that's when I put a lot of effort into doing my own research and found out about these towelettes people were using. Those were pretty expensive ($40) and someone mentioned Ocusoft as a cheaper but effective alternative.I got these a month ago and haven't had any flare up since! Before, it'd come back every 1-2 weeks very regularly after one application of tacrolimus. Now, nothing. I just can't comprehend how none of the four doctors I saw was able to suggest these simple towelettes, ugh!Anyway, so yes, super effective. 5Great Product. Patience, Excellent Results It Works! Husband had a Chalzion according to the Doctor, who stated surgery was needed to remove it. I researched & found this product. Read reviews on Amazon & purchased it. Be patient & you will see the results. Husband used it twice a day, followed instructions & didn't wash it off. After the first month a white speck appeared on the Chalzion(looked like a pimple). It started to drain slowly & the Chalzion started to decrease in size. By the end of the second month it is barely visible. Husband continues to use the wipes twice a day on both eyes to remove any oils & anything else that collects on his eyelids. No surgery done, no Chalzion & his eyelids feel better. I will continue buying this product for him. 5No, it didn't help... but I'll tell you what did...I used this on my eyelid thinking there would be a noticeable difference overnight. Not really that different, so I thought okay, give it a few days and really it's not helped at all. What has helped though, randomly decided to put a green tea bag on my eye for 10 minutes and the stye is almost gone. First I made a cup of hot green tea and then removed the bag after steeping for about 5 minutes (no science here, I'm just telling you what I did). So I let the bag come to a warmish temperature, squeezed it a bit so I wouldn't have tea dripping all over my face. Once it was squeezed just enough, I put it on my eye and laid down for about 10 minutes.... I did that today and the stye is almost gone. Will do it again before bedtime... but as for the Ocusoft, after about a week no difference at all. I wouldn't buy it again.2I am going to give you the straight skinny on this... You know how sometimes we get weird annoying rashes above our eyelashes on the lid? It is probably contact dermatitis or something of that sort. Sometimes you have to do a three day course of a doctor prescribed steroids. And no screwing around with over-the-counter stuff. It is by your eyeballs after all. But this is a good try before doing that. Here's the part you need to know. This version is to be left on and not washed off. Now you know. The dark blue one you wash off. 5I love these things I love these things. I tried all manner of drops, gels, etc and still awoke each morning with eye mung. These may seem pricy, but are big enough to cut into quarters, which results in a more palatable price. I wash my hands, cut the package across the bottom, remove the wipe (which is folded into quarters), cut in half, cut the resulting half in half and return the remaining wipes to the original foil package, folding over the cut end to preserve moisture. 5Highly recommended!I woke up with a sty in both eyes....I had one sty in my left eye that had solidified and was present for over 2 yrs. Eye Dr wouldn't even mess with it. Said it would go away on its own or he'd have to send me to a specialist to remove it. Well I woke up one day and it was inflamed all over again and then a sty on the other eye to boot! I did everything web md and whatnot said to do and ordered this stuff as well. By day two not on,y were both of them gone but the solidified one is no longer there!5These Eye Lid Cleaners do Work, but... I was recently diagnosed with blepharitis, and my Doctor recommended these pads. But boy, they sure are expensive! And considering, they go around the eye, they are not exactly lint-free, or at least there are little loose fibers that can get in my eye if I am not super careful. But that being said (or written), they do seem to help, with the problems I have had - the eye crustiness at the lash line, etc. I try alternating with washing the lid area with a TINY amount of Johnson & Johnson's Baby Shampoo and filtered water, using a lint-free washcloth or cotton pad. This was also recommended by the Doctor is an alternative. 4Holy Wow. Why didn't someone alert me to these before?I have, throughout my entire life, had really red and bloodshot eyes. I was told that was just how they were and there wasn't anything that I could do about them. A story even came out at one point in my youth, that they were the result of using forceps at birth. Anyway, July comes around and we drove down south for vacation and in 2 days, my daughter says I should look in the mirror because she's never seen my eyes so white! Sure enough, it was true. I contacted my eye doctor when we got home and he says, oh yeah, our area is horrible for environmental allergies. DUH, why didn't he say so before!!! I came across these wipes somewhere prior to that and thought they'd help with dry eye that i've been having (also allergies I guess), so I ordered a box.Wow what a difference!!! If I use them consistently (twice a day), my eyes are almost entirely clear and white. I also haven't had issues with dry eyes and went from putting eye drops in literally every 3 minutes, to maybe once a day, if I need them. I wear contact lenses and don't take them out before using the wipes in the am and haven't noticed any issues with irritation. They are also great at removing eye makeup but I don't rely on them exclusively for that. After my lids are dried they feel so soft and matte. It made me realize how greasy almost my eyelids are on a regular basis! I can use one single wipe several times before it's too dry to do anything. I just fold it back up and stick it back into the packet and fold the torn edge down to semi-seal it.I started using these on my daughter to help with puffiness from allergies and to see if a little milia she developed sometime last year will go away. Again, not using them consistently but her worst allergy season is just coming up now so if I notice anything (positive or negative), I will update.5OcuSoft why did you have to change a great product? The formula was changed and now the lid scrubs are way too wetThis product used to be amazing but the last batch I bought was way too wet. It's so wet that too much formula gets on the eye that it starts to burn. It really is a shame because this product used to be amazing. I hope Ocusoft realizes their mistake and goes back to the old formula. The batch I had was #8291 expiration 9/20181Worked Great for My Blepharitis! These lid scrub pads worked great for my blepharitis! I have horrible "seasonal" allergies (more like 24/7 year-round allergies unfortunately) and my eyelids get very puffy when my allergies get really bad, especially along my lash line. Several times, the eye symptoms have gotten so bad that my lash line would become very red and turn into full-blown blepharitis with constant flaking and eyelashes falling out in what felt like clumps! I researched different treatments for blepharitis online and spoke to my ophthalmologist, who recommended using these lid scrub pads 1-2 times per day when the symptoms became severe. However, he did tell me to make sure that I wasn't scrubbing with the pads so hard to the point that I was significantly exfoliating my lash line - these pads are meant for *gently* wiping along the lid and lash line to clean off any flakes/debri and more or less to sanitize the area to help prevent a more serious superimposed bacterial infection.I found that it was most effective to use these pads about 20min after my shower when my skin was still soft but not too soft to the point that I was "exfoliating" as my doctor instructed. I also use them in the morning when I wake up after washing my face/eyelids with gentle soap and water. I do not use these pads on a daily basis - only when I have symptoms and/or can tell that my lash lines are starting to get red and irritated. As some other reviewers have stated, these pads are rather large when unfolded (at least for my needs). I ended up cutting these pads into 4 sections (following the fold lines). I cut up 2-3 pads at a time and then use small ziplock bags to store them in and keep them moist. This method saves me the time of having to cut them up for each use and is also VERY cost-effective. I bought a pack of 100 small ziplock bags at Walmart in the Crafts/Jewelry-Making department for $1. Or, if you are like me and try to avoid Walmart at every cost, Amazon also has them available for a slightly higher price (like these: Beadaholique 100 Count Resealable Zipper Poly Bags, 2 by 2-Inch, 50mm by 50mm, Clear).Overall, these lid wipes worked great and I would definitely recommend them to others!5Love this product I suffered from puffy eyes ever since I was a teenager. They were extremely itchy, uncomfortable and unsightly. I discovered the term 'blepharitis' online and researched both its causes (demodex/allergies) and how to relieve it. This product was recommended by so many people that I ordered it six months ago. After about a month of use, my symptoms got so much better that I now rarely have the problem. If only I had known about this product years ago! To save money I cut the pads in half or even in quarters. I use them in the morning and at night; also use the OcuSoft foam to wash off my eye makeup in the evening. I highly recommend this product -- five stars. 5
