Customer Reviews

It was recommended to me by the Periodontist I worked for to ... I am a Dental Hygienist and have been buying the nimbus toothbrush for myself and my kids for years. It was recommended to me by the Periodontist I worked for to preserve gum tissue...especially if you have recession, acid erosion issues, or gum tissue inflammation/bleeding. I have my kids use them to prevent any issues from occurring and it's been very helpful with cleaning around braces as well. This toothbrush won't allow you to brush too hard, the bristle tips are tapered in such a way that really gets things clean, and it really helps you to become a more conscious brusher. I have been recommending these to my patients for years and anyone that uses them, raves about them! Highly recommend! 5Truly ultra soft unlike any other toothbrush I've tried Finally a truly soft toothbrush. I have Oral Lichen Planus (auto immune disorder affecting mouth tissue). I have tried every ultra soft and baby toothbrush out there and tossed them. This one is really truly different. I can finally brush my teeth without pain and scratching my gums.Ignore that it says 'regular'. That's the handle length.I think all dentists (since they are the ones who usually identify OLP) should be made aware of these brushes. 5Great Tooth Brush! This tooth brush is AMAZING!!! I don't know why I can't find it in the general supermarket. The design is really good and for a person who has gum problems. This tooth brush helps you eliminate those gum problems and to build healthy gums so that your gum line doesn't recede. A tip is, you don't need to brush very hard. Just go softly and get underneath your gums and your teeth at a 45% angle. You can use hydrogen peroxide to clean your teeth and gums. After 30 years of gum problems, seeing several dentist, and trying different products, I finally found a periodontist who recommended this product to me and taught me how to properly brush my teeth. It will SAVE you tons of money in dental work in the future!!! Start by proper brushing technique with the right tooth brush that doesn't cost that much either. Now my whole family uses this tooth brush and my mom and dad don't have any more gum bleeding problems either =)5The best! I have two electric toothbrushes, but still vastly prefer these NIMBUS brushes. They have soft, very fine bristles that don't hurt my gums and...no noise! I'll often use one of these in the am when I can't bear the noisy vibration of the electric brush, but lately have used them exclusively. 5Gentle on Gums. Cleans teeth Perfectly. No More Sensitive Gums! Easy to use, it does Not hurt sore Gums! Brush feels comfortable, well balanced to hold, definitely can't rub gums the wrong way! I have the Bad Habit of Brushing Teeth Too Aggressively! I learned from another comment here - to hold the far end of the toothbrush, not the handle closer to the brush bristles. It's possible to use it this way, I'm really delighted with these toothbrushes. It Is recommended to use 1 toothbrush/3 mo, not the 6 mo. Dentists insist on. You get quite a few in the pkg, no more bleeding, very sore gums for me, Take care of your ums/teeth-these definitely will helo. 5Love these My parent's dentist gives these to them, they put one in my bathroom when I came home for the holidays and I liked it so much I made a mental note of the name Nimbus and ordered some for personal use when I left their house. I used to like firm bristles, I thought they cleaned better, but every dentist recommends soft so you don't damage your gums and clean under them, these are softer than Oral-B and Colgate brand I find in stores. My only gripe is the head of these are too big, I should've bought the smaller one and I think I have a big mouth. Smaller head lets you reach further back to get the molars. I'll reorder smaller head brushes when these run out. 5Great concept, but does not work for me I thought these would be the perfect toothbrushes for me but they are not. They are ok. They have been designed with 2 bristle types: Short stiffer bristles and longer fine bristles. The problem I have is that the longer finer bristles are too long compared to the short bristles. It is hard to get your teeth clean with only a small amount of these fine bristles coming into contact easily with your teeth. If you use more force the shorter, stiffer bristles do come in contact with the teeth, but the fine bristles go under the gums and it is painful.I also don't like the chunky design of the toothbrush handle. Other people may find this toothbrush to be great but it doesn't work well for me. 2Super soft and long-lasting toothbrush; recommended for anyone with gum problems I bought a set of these ultra soft Nimbus Microfine toothbrushes last year after my mother developed a rare disease: Acquired Hemophilia. All of a sudden, she started to bleed internally for no apparent reason. She was in the hospital for two months, and while brushing her teeth with a soft brush, she had a very dangerous internal bleeding that caused her chin to her neck to become purple (this was just one of several other large bleedings). Fortunately, she had an excellent doctor and hospital, and was able to recover completely. I visited her early on (she lives in Brazil), and when I returned to the US, I searched for the softest toothbrushes. I ordered and tried many brushes, and the Nimbus was the best one I found. I quickly sent my mom a set of the Nimbus brushes, and she was very happy with them, and did not have any problems with her gum and mouth. She used them daily while she recovered. However, sometime after she went back home, she told me that she had stopped using the Nimbus brushes because she felt they were too soft for her. Since she has been fine for over a year now, she went back to the previous brand of soft brushes that she used before (I don't know the brand). When I first bought the Nimbus brushes for my mom, I kept a couple for me and started to use one, since I have had problems with receding gums for years. I like this brush very much; I find that it keeps my teeth clean and haven't had problems with my gums since. When I started to use this brush, I brought it to my dentist. He thought it was too soft and that it would not clean my teeth well, but the dental hygienist says that my teeth are clean and there has been no increase in plaque on my teeth.I find that these brushes are strong, well built, and last long. In fact, I'm sharing photos of the brush I have used for 14 months! The bristles got a little shorter but still work; the other brush I keep in my travel bag, and have used for about a month over 14 months. I know should have changed the brush earlier, but I wanted to see how long it would last; it still works fine. To me it seems that it has lasted much longer than other name brand brushes that I used before. I am now finally ordering another set of Nimbus. I highly recommend this product (and no, I did not get any discount to write this review). 5Pure blissI used to use the MD Brush. A very good brush, indeed. But then when I found out that it was out of stock for too long (I was approaching the 2 month mark for switching brushes), this gave me the opportunity to try Nimbus and to try the awesome feeling of cloud-like material caressing my gums. After brushing for about a minute, I rinsed, felt my teeth with my tongue, and looked in the mirror: no visible plaque (neither did I feel any with my tongue). With that, I come to the conclusion that this brush is the way a brush should be. With the 45 degree angle technique, this thing does the job really, really well; I'm genuinely surprised, in fact. I always used brushes that were soft because as most know (or I would hope so) the importance of brushing is to remove plaque, not food. And you're brushing gums, not teeth, really. This brush's bristles are cut in such a way that makes them really effective and the feel of the brush itself (and the lack of bulk) makes it great to use. Undoubtedly recommend it over ANY other brush!5I had my visit this morning after switching brushed and my hygenist said "your gums look awesome! " I told her how I'd switchedI recently did a test. I've been using an electric toothbrush for years. At my last dental visit my hygenist remarked that my gums were bleeding a lot. Also, the past few visits I've noticed a lot of picking and scraping to get off plaque. I decided to get rid of the electric toothbrush and switch back to manual brushing (which I had done most of my life). I used this brush as it was the one my dentist sends home with all patients. I had my visit this morning after switching brushed and my hygenist said "your gums look awesome!" I told her how I'd switched over to this toothbrush and got rid of the electric. Her response? "Watever your doing, keep doing it!" No more electric toothbrushes for me...I plan on using this brush indefinitely!5Concerned these are not real Nimbus brushes I am concerned these are not real Nimbus brushes, or the quality has taken a serious turn. The brushes from this supplier appear to be manufactured more crudely compared to others I have used in the past. My dentist gave me a couple of brushes and I notice that the handle was smooth and manufactured more precisely -- the Nimbus logo was also clear -- and the brush was softer. Not sure these are real Nimbus brushes. 1Gum Massaaaaaahge Apparently I "brush too hard" and was scrubbing "the enamel off my teeth" and causing my "gums to recede," so my dentist sent me home with a Nimbus. At first I thought, "It's TOO SOFT and won't do any good!" But the more I brushed, the more I came to appreciate the value of gum health. I brush with an electric toothbrush twice a day, but all the other times I use the Nimbus - it feels REALLY good on the gums and lasts a long time. 5No gimmicks. I could feel how much softer the bristles were than my previous "extra soft" toothbrush that I searched for in the grocery store. Is it me, or are the "soft" toothbrushes in the grocery store no longer soft? The name brand extra soft toothbrush had some rubber "bristles" (for lack of a better term) that didn't seem to help any. The Nimbus has more bristles, so it cleans better. In fact, it cleans much better. Even though the bristles are soft, they don't collapse, which leads me to my next point. I discovered I had some sensitive places in my gums that this toothbrush would reach, that my previous toothbrushes didn't. I was a little worried about it for the first few days, but decided to give it a month to try it out. Well, within about a month, the sensitive areas of my gums don't bother me anymore when brushing. I've been, and still do floss every day. I'm pretty impressed with both the quality and price of the Nibmus Microfine toothbrush. 5
