Mineral Fusion Anti-Dandruff Shampoo I tried using a Paul Mitchell brand moisture shampoo and conditioner because my scalp is extremely dry from the weather (I rarely use products that would irritate my scalp and I rarely use heat) but as my scalp was doing better, my hair quality was declining. I decided to try Mineral Fusion anti-dandruff shampoo because other reviewers mentioned that it did not dry their hair out when treating the scalp. I have long, thick, coarse hair that can be difficult to manage while focusing on one problem.It's shampoo really made a difference for me. My hair is doing much better and what many other shampoo attempt failed, this product does help my scalp stay flake free.It's worth mentioning that I use this in combination with having adjusted my eating habits. Removing wheat and dairy drastically improved my scalp health. 5Great smell but not great on dandruff Smells like heaven! The shampoo cleans my hair nicely but it isn t really effective as a dandruff shampoo, still a lot of flaking. I ve been using it for about 2 weeks now and not noticing much change. Also the consistency is very very thin and watery so it kind of pours out of the bottle and I ve definitely wasted quite a bit, it could be a bit thicker so you don t have to use quite as much. 3Doesn't work to volumize. Recently, I cut off my dreads so my short hair is straight as a rod. I thought the transition would be less of a shock with good products. I bought the thickening and volumizing, neither work. My other shampoos work better. Won't buy this again 2Extremely Disappointed!I have suffered with seborrheic dermatitis for several years now and am always on the lookout for a dandruff shampoo that is gentle yet effective. I was very disappointed in this product as it left my hair feeling coated no matter how long I rinsed it and it had very little effect on treating the dandruff.The dermatologist I finally saw again said you need a product containing 2% zinc because seborrheic dermatitis is often caused by an overgrowth of yeast on the scalp (everyone has a degree of yeast on their scalp, but surgery, stress and various other things can cause an overgrowth) and recommended a shampoo called DHS 2% zinc shampoo as yeast cannot survive in a zinc filled atmosphere......it REALLY works well and is one that I highly recommend although as with most of these products I find it somewhat drying.. I feel that using a conditioner following any dandruff shampoo is a must. (Another helpful hint the doctor gave me was to first wet your hair in the shower, wring the water out then pour some alcohol free disinfecting mouthwash over your head and place a shower cap on your head to prevent it from getting into your eyes and leave it on for five minutes.....it kills off several more strains of yeast than just plain dandruff shampoo...then use dandruff shampoo and conditioner....sounds crazy, but it works).1This passed my shampoo test!!..... I always do a hair test when buying new shampoos. What I do is wash the left side of my hair with.one brand, and the right side with another brand. This shampoo held up against the other!! (...and others I tried after this test) -updated.My hair type is fine but a lot of hair, oily scalp but dry ends. Straight with a little wave i it. I don't use much product in my hair so no real build-op. I have long hair and always wanting to find one that doesn't weigh my hair down.The brand Eluence Volume Clarifying was used on my left side of my head, while * Mineral Fusion Natural Brands Fortifying Mineral Shampoo was used on my right side. A light no weight conditioner after. Both sides got equal attention and such. After a mostly dry blow-dry and one hour later my left side is flatter than my right. My right side has more bounce and volume. I bought both shampoos at the same time on Amazon.Don't believe me, do a shampoo test.. I recommend this, at least is you have hair like mine. 5The only thing that works for me I had been struggling with horrible dandruff and itching since I was 11 and even with H&S(which is what I was using before) the itching would return within a day and there were still a lot of flakes left remaining after I washed my hair. I was pretty fed up with all the flaking and discomfort and scoured Amazon for a better alternative. After using this shampoo, the flaking stopped and the itchiness subsided GREATLY. I didn't feel like shaving my head or scratching it raw if I didn't wash it in two days, as I used to experience even with other shampoos. I didn't realize just how great this shampoo worked for me until I started using H&S again because I mis-shipped my last purchase and didn't feel like reordering. Without this shampoo, the itchiness and large flakes returned, and my scalp is miserable once again.I'm not too sure how the ingredients in this shampoo differ from other dandruff shampoos, but I find this shampoo very effective in dandruff and itching relief. It also has a very pleasant and refreshing fruity odor that isn't heavy at all.The only downside I've found to using this shampoo is that it leaves my hair with a dry, and I mean DRY, texture. But the tradeoff to have a itch-free scalp is very much worth it, and the dryness is nothing a supplemental conditioner can't fix.4.5/5, and I would definitely recommend to other dandruff-sufferers. 5Clean Shampoo Great shampoo for all my families hair types. It makes hair feel dry, because it s clean! We all use conditioner on our ends and it s fine. I bought because it doesn t carry cancer causing chemicals & was surprised how much I love it! 5My Perfect Shampoo: no allergies, great hair, no color harm and great price! Because I have pretty extreme allergies to many ingredients in shampoos and conditioners, I've tried many -- including most of the natural/organic varieties. I was even allergic to many of those. I finally found the Mineral Fusion line, and couldn't be happier...these are wonderful products that do their jobs, do not produce allergic reactions, and are very reasonably priced! Yay! If I sound excited, I am. This shampoo is nice: it has a creamy consistency, applies and lathers well, cleans well, then rinses out completely. No real smell to speak of, and I didn't want any. Hair is left soft and clean, not stripped or frizzy. Absolutely does not harm your haircolor, even red shades. I hope they never stop making this one! 5Better than any other dandruff remedy I have tried. I had spent so much money trying so many dandruff remedies. Only a few offered any significant improvement. Many offered negligible improvement. I think a common problem with most scalp remedies is that the ingredient list includes synthetic additives that may make hair behave but are irritating to the scalp, negating the impact of the salycylic acid or whatever the relevant active ingredients are. I feel so lucky to have found this shampoo. It is full of soothing, nourishing, and healing minerals and other ingredients, calming the scalp and controlling the flaking. I have frizzy curly/wavy hair that gets dry ends quickly. I have tried an endless variety of shampoo and conditioners from Pantene and DevaCurl to Aveda and Wen. None of them satisfied my hair for more than one bottle, always leaving me with the same results of dry ends and a frizzy mess. Honestly thought it was a hopeless cause. Then I found Mineral Fusion. Who would have thought that a reasonably priced shampoo and conditioner could work such wonders on my dry, frizzy hair. I'm not saying that it is perfect, but its pretty darn close. I have even been able to extend trimming my hair by a couple of months since my ends haven't dried out. My hair is the softest it has ever been and actually has a nice healthy shine to it. It gets a little puffy on humid days, but not frizzy. Styles easily and feels good. And I'm on my 3rd set! Its definitely worth a try, especially for the price.5Mineral Fusion Shampoo, CURL CARE 8.5 ounces - really does help to enhance naturally curly hair I've tried a few higher end shampoos. I have naturally gently curly hair but some shampoos seem to flatten out the wave. This does the opposite. I get an end result I can then work with using frizz-ease and end up with a nice soft natural curl.I recommend for anybody who likes their naturally curly hair and wants to use something that enhances it. 5Gentle I prefer mineral fusion strengthening shampoo over this one. When using I end up needing to wash hair twice to get a good clean. Prefer to use this brand over some other brands. It s more gentle on hair and scalp does not leave build up. 4
