Our family loves this We're now buying 2 more, so we'll have a total of 4 of these, one for each of us. I've been buying the Hydrofloss over the last 10 years. My husband and I shared the first one, both using it 2x a day, so it lasted a few years then died. They're not meant to last forever, so we got another. Yes, it's noisy, but it's a little motor doing all that work. I put mine on a folded cloth so it cuts down on the noise a lot. Our gums are far better because of this machine. My 13 year old has braces and started using this when the braces went on 8 months ago. The dentist told her today her gums are looking great. Her machine is still working great. I see some reviews where the machine has problems, I suggest calling the company and talking to them. I've had questions before and they were very helpful. For myself, this helped my gums greatly when I had deep pockets, but I still kept pockets of "4" on certain teeth for years. It wasn't until I switched from an electric toothbrush to the sulca brush that my pockets went away (I was irritating my gums with the electric toothbrush, even though I used the sensitive brush with it). You'd be amazed at the gunk that comes out of your teeth while using this. 5Low quality and expensive, did not last 30 days. This is an expensive product and it did not even make it 30 days before the water line busted inside the handle and started spraying water out of the bottom and the pause button. Garbage, save your money, explore other options. 1Like it. Would love a more angled hard tip ... Really loud, but holds more water than my new WaterPik. I'm told it has some magnetic assistance for cleaning by my dental hygienist. Like it. Would love a more angled hard tip so as to get under a permanently implanted hybrid denture that I can't do anything about. Anybody know of where I might could find or have one made? 4Great to keep gum tissues healthy. Works great. I have 2 fixed bridges and it flushes around the teeth keeping the gum tissues in great shape. My first hydrofloss died after 20+ years and my dentist told me I better resume what I was doing because he noticed some inflammation around the abutment teeth of the bridges. 5Hydro Floss has become a high priced, low quality piece of junk. Returned the product. I have used hydro Floss for many years, and been very satisfied, except for the last two that I purchased. The last one I purchased lasted about six months, then quit working. The new one I just purchased has very little water pressure, and it was returned. Hydro Floss has become, basically a piece of junk. Absolutely no quality. I will never buy another one. 1Works great. Just use duct tape This works great except for one glitch. You need to put duct tape or electric tape around the hose where it exits the water container. Otherwise the hose eventually cracks where it vibrates against the hard plastic container. 5Ill designed, unit made with cheap parts with no quality control This thing died after 5 minutes. I threw it in the garbage. But then after thinking about it I took it out of the garbage and took it apart to see what the problem was. Inside I found that the two knobs are just loose with a groove in them and are pinched between the two halves of the body. The power knob has a nipple on it that is supposed to strike the rocker switch that turns it on or off. What has to happen with this twitch ill designed super cheap design is that it won't always work. The other knob has some gear teeth in it that mesh with another gear to give different rates of pumping. The pump is a syringe. The whole pump setup is a cheap plastic pump like you would find in a toy and just sits there loose. It is obviously going to have trouble with pressure and the rocker switch is going to have trouble with contact with the knob for the power. I readjusted (modified) this knob and reassembled this piece of junk. Now it worked. But it doesn't really have much pressure, makes a horrendous racket. (The motor is probably pretty good and I would guess that most of the dead units referred to in other one star reviews that are shipped back paying about $12.50 are perfectly okay for the motor and are just due to the lousy switch design.) My unit worked after I had it put together like it did in the first five minutes. I admit I made a mistake buying this piece of junk. I ordered a Nicefeel unit which I have found to be a much, much better unit. And I threw the New Generation Irrigator back into the garbage. There was no point in contacting people who sell this kind of junk. And it isn't worth anywhere near the cost of shipping back to get a replacement which will still be junk. 1water pressure has reduced At some point the valve turning pressure up or down no longer works so remains set at one pressure. I had another for years that finally got killed on flights to Europe. I noticed some subtle changes to exterior design so maybe the interior was changed also. When it worked it was great. 3Junk - Junk - Junk JUNK - JUNK - JUNK ! ! ! ! ! I bought my first one ten years ago and several since then and the quality has been steadily going down hill. I went to Walmart and bought a Waterpic Ultra for half the price. Waterpic water flosser has more pressure so save your money. 1after reading other reviews I was hesitant to purchase due ... after reading other reviews I was hesitant to purchase due to problems with leakage.I got it and use it daily. I am careful to follow usage directions and have had no problems with it. I do see a real improvement in my gums.i 5
