Product Description Product Description
  • Soft-Picks have flexible, comfortable bristles to gently remove plaque, dislodge food & massage gums. The flexible synthetic rubber bristles fit easily between most teeth, removing dental plaque where gum disease often starts and toothbrushes can't reach
  • A curved design enables picks to reach any area of the mouth, including difficult to reach back teeth! Longer handle gives an improved grip for comfort & control while cleaning, & tapered tip makes it ideal for cleaning between both smaller & wider spaces
  • Soft-Picks make it easy to clean hard-to-reach areas where plaque builds up and leads to inflammation, bleeding & gingivitis. Highly recommended by dental hygienists, Soft-Picks will help you reach the goal of between-teeth cleaning at least once per day
  • Clean between the teeth at least once per day to remove dental plaque from areas not reached by toothbrushing alone, where tooth decay & gum disease often occur! Just as effective as dental floss in removing plaque but much easier and more convenient.

Way better than the cheap version of G.U.M picks. Way better than the cheap version of G.U.M picks. Can easily be used twice to save money. Much easier to use in back of mouth and bend up less easily. 5These are much better than the original design These are much better than the original design.1.) These new ones are less prone to breaking on the stem.2.) Also, the curved shape makes it easier to reach my molars.3.) The plastic case they come in is better than the old design. You cant fit as many in the case but they are easier to get out.4.) The pick handle is larger and has a special rubber on it making it easier to grip.I like to let my teeth soak in coconut oil for 10min, then floss with these picks about 3 times per week. I recently visited a dentist for the first time in 10 years and they couldn't stop talking about how clean my teeth were. They literally said there was nothing left to clean and just gave me a quick brush, floss and xray.Summary: I highly recommend these to family and friends. I still use regular floss every day but these are great at doing deeper scrubbing between your teeth a few times per week. 5Two thumbs way up for this improved design. Over ten years ago, my dentist recommended the older-style, G.U.M straight soft-picks in addition to flossing. So, I've been a relatively faithful user ever since. I'd wounded myself with wooden picks more than once, so was glad to abandon them. These are a definite improvement on an already helpful addition to the war on plaque. The handles are much easier to grasp, sturdier, and the curved shape makes the pick even easier to maneuver. When used properly, the bristle end is soft enough that it doesn't irritate, yet stiff enough to remove plaque and food particles.I haven't done a side-by-side comparison yet, but the bristle end doesn't seem to bend over as easily as I remember the straight picks did. Mouths are not like chimneys clogged with creosote, so it behooves the consumer to be gentle, rather than wielding their pick like a chimney brush. 5Twice the plastic & a lousy pick MARCH 2018 UPDATE: Well, it's been about two weeks since I used my last Original Soft-Pic and I've gone through almost 40 of these Advanced version. The are a royal pain in the... um, mouth to use. In order to use as effectively as I did the Original, I have to stop and turn the pick "upside down" several times. Approaching teeth from behind means maneuvering the pick in multiple orientations whereas with the Original, you just point it and go.Because of all that manipulation, it is far easier to bend the tip rendering it useless. While I could use the Original several times over two or three days (yes, I cleaned them), I was lucky to get through one day with the Advanced. Many times, the pic bent before I could even finish a first use.I bought the 90 pack and the remaining are getting thrown in the trash and I got a 320 pack of the Original.Knocking the rating from two stars to one.DEC 2017The working end of this new "advanced" pick is EXACTLY THE SAME as the not-advanced pick. While purporting the "longer handle gives an improved grip for comfort and effective control," I never had any problems with grip or control with the not-advanced version in the years I've used them. This new pack is twice the weight and size of the previous. The only advancement made here is doubling of the manufacturing and handling of plastics (recycled or not) from raw materials to end customer. And then waste. In a time when one can rarely go a day without reference to our impact on the environment, what was their thinking on this?It is easier to find in the medicine cabinet or travel kit however, so an extra star for that.I don't care to evoke a return process as these will get used up in due time. Hopefully the not-advanced version will still be available for the next order. 1Too Flimsy for Molars Major disappointment. I thought these would be convenient to carry and use on the go but the plastic is too flimsy. They can be used for front teeth, but they are useless for molars. They always bend or break before they are able to clean between back teeth. 1Not advanced at all. One pick good for about 10 teeth Handle nicely curved and easy to hold. Actual pick loses structure and bends 90 degrees after using on about 6-10 teeth. The straight inexpensive version of these picks are much better. 1A better pick I paid $15.81 for 180 Soft-Picks. From order to delivery was two days. This might be my best bargin of the year. Each 60 unit pack came with a custom plastic travel case that holds 12 picks. Almost any spice jar will hold the rest. These work better for me than standard picks and at this price I should always have some on hand. 5Costly but effective and actually pleasant to use This is first dental product I look forward to using. I know, that sounds crazy. But using them gently stimulates the gums in an unexpectedly pleast way.And you can, for lack of a better phrase, "really poke around in there" without any discomfort, bleeding, etc.The tip is fragile, so about half the time I wind up using two. Still, it's a grime-and-residue remover of the first order. Unprompted, my dentist asked if I was really flossing a lot because of my "great separation." Presumably that means there's not a bunch of plaque-y gunk between my teeth. I was quite proud.I've orbited the sun 60 times, so I worry about the sort of gum disease that's led some friends and family to surgery. I'm no periodontist, but I'm guessing there a prophylactic value in using these things.Oh, forgot to say: I floss too. But if I don't, I feel like I'm covered. 5Greatest thing since sliced bread? Yes! These things are amazing! They are very easy to get in between teeth that are tightly spaced. No pain, removes all "stuff" and the handle is easy to grip. No more fighting with floss. This is a great invention! 5I wish GUM will make a little more durable picks The effectiveness of these picks are not too different from the straight ones. I wish GUM will make a little more durable picks as these picks bend so easily. But they are still doing the best cleaning job between teeth for me. 4
