Very nice! The good points:I like that this is made of glass, which I find to be very 'cool' and unique (since most other files are either emory or steel)The range of color options are very pretty.I like the way it files my nails...it does not feel 'rough' on my nails the way traditional emory boards can feel.This file will theoretically last for a very long time.The not as great points:I assume that if you drop the glass file on a hard surface floor, it will break.This file is 2-3 times thicker than a metal nail file. As such, this file can only be used for Filing, whereas when I had a metal nail file, not only could I use it to File my nails but I could also use it to clean underneath my nails. That is not possible with this thick glass file... 4A must have in my line of work! I am a USPS Letter Carrier & I am constantly breaking & chiping my nails. I need this everyday! I love this crystal nail file. It is very strong and does a nice job filing my nails. I usually use emery boards, but the break and for some reason they don t hold up well in the washing machine (LOL). This is perfect for me to carry at work as a letter carrier. It is very frustrating to break a nail and then find my emery board is broken. This is crystal file will hold up much better.I got mine on a Lightning deal, but I need more. I found you can get a discount anywhere from 8% to 25% depending on how many you order. Just look for the discount codes just between the description and before the reviews. I have been doing my own manicures for years and I have always purchased dual-sided large files from Sally Beauty. Tired of replacing those files and feeling as though I was generating too much garbage for a simple nail file, I decided to give this one a try. The file is NICE and it's not too fine a grit (read: it doesn't take forever to file my nails). It's great that it comes with a hard case - a glass file should be protected by a hard case, especially in a handbag. However, the case is very cheap. I'd pay more for a nicer case with this otherwise beautiful file. 5I am diabetic and thus must take good care of my feet This file just arrived a few days ago. I have finally tried this file and it has worked extremely well.I am diabetic and thus must take good care of my feet. I have very thick toenails and use a power hand held grinder to quickly grind on those nails but do need a file to do the final touches and smooth out the nails.In that capacity it has worked extremely well. It smoothed those nails out in a hurry. I plan on coming back at some point and rate this file on longevity and ultimate value. It comes with a small box and a plastic protector.Showed my mom and she had me order 3 for her. One for her and two for her friends who work at the beauty shop where she goes. 4Nice, smooth nail tips in a fraction of the time it takes an emery board.I hadn't planned on writing a review for something like a nail file, but I was so pleasantly surprised and impressed by this one that I felt I really needed to.I've been hearing others talk about how much better glass nail files work over emery boards and bought a glass file from a local department store. I was very unimpressed as it wore out almost as quickly as an emery board - after each use, more and more of the grit would be scraped off the file, making it useless! I soon needed another replacement, and figured I'd look on Amazon for a better brand (since I could actually read customer reviews before purchasing).This one cost only two dollars more than my old glass file, but I immediately noticed a HUGE difference in quality! It worked so well and so much faster at shaping my nails, and didn't leave my nail tips ragged or rough at all. Better yet, none of the grit has been scraped off during use. I'm attaching a photo of my old file next to this one so you can see just how much better this one is holding up after the same number of uses (trust me, the old one looks far worse in person). To clean, I just run it under hot water and it comes out looking brand new again.For something so simple, I'm really impressed by this file! I'm getting one for each of my sisters for the holidays.5It's Like A Little Gift From Heaven Oh Yeah! This is THE BEST EVER.It filed my nails at least five times faster than the crummy old emery-board types.CAVEAT: Do handle it extremely carefully, as it IS glass (or some type of "glass" composite). How do I know this: you guessed it .... I dropped it. It broke in two. I can still use it, but I obviously have to handle it very carefully. That said, I'll never go back to emery boards; this is really terrific ... and so, so time saving. 5so good to know that I can always order a replacement ... Yes, it is a real crystal file, not a fake. I actually bought a fake one at a local store once after my last crystal file snapped in half, which is how I figured out that fakes exist. I tried to find another real one in local beauty stores but it seems that no place carries them anymore - I wonder if it's because they last so long...? Anyway, since I could not find them in a store I decided to try ordering online. I was nervous that this one might be a fake, too, but was relieved to discover it was authentic when it arrived. Theoretically these files last forever, but I have a nail biting problem that requires me to file often, which does wear them down over time, and they also tend to snap (I think I've snapped about 2-3 over the last 8 or so years), so good to know that I can always order a replacement online. 5Fantastic file and so pretty. As someone that has long nails, and HATES filing, clipping or otherwise general nail care. IM IN LOVE WITH THIS FILE. it knocks down rough edges in seconds and it feels very good in the hand. Normally i would use the big file that has a buffer, different grit filing. Found at your dollar store and i hate how much i have to work my nail. I garden alot so i get big chunks taken out of my nails all the time. So when i do have to file them it takes me along time. I just got this today and had some rough edges i wanted to clean up. IF YOU NEED A NAIL FILE LOOK NO FURTHER. i hope this lasts a long time but even if it doesnt i would by it again. GREAT PRODUCT! Will check back later if theres any issues. Also its so pretty! 5Awesome fileI love this file! It is perfect for natural nails. The file is precise and allows for precision shaping. I keep my natural nails filed into a long almond shape. I rarely trust nail salon's to touch my nails, and I am very choosy when it comes to products and tools I use on my nails. I love this file, and I will definitely be buying a few more for backup!5A Bit More 'Drag', But More Effective I really like this file- it's of good quality and very pretty. The only thing though is that it has more of a 'drag' than regular metal files.I would thought it to be the opposite and for it to slide very smoothly- but the upside to that is that it is far more effective in filing your nails.It only takes a few swipes here and there to file down your nail, whereas with my old metal file it would take me a half hour to file both hands.I think I'll be a repeat customer next time I need another file or want to gift one. 4Love!Don't know how I ever manage to live without these! i've been searching for a fantastic nail file for years, thinking as I was going to have to use disposable flimsy ones that barely made it through one use. Granted I just got these files in the mail today but I can tell that they're in it for the long-haul and that I believe the hold up to the test of time. if anything changes I'll update my review but until then I think these are an excellent, overall file. Also I found their "aggressiveness" to be just right, not needing an additional touch up with any other type of file.5I'm in love! The nail file arrived quickly. I wasn't convinced about glass files; I kept picturing something that would make a horrible sound on my nails. This nail file is not only beautiful but it works so well. It's the smoothest finish on my nail I've ever had. It's not too rough and it's not too fine. My daughter thinks it's beautiful and wants one for herself even though she's only three. Honestly, it's one of the coolest things that I've purchased. 5Crushed box, cracked case, excellent file The box arrived partially crushed, and the file case inside it was cracked and broken. But the Bona Fide glass file was intact, and it's a lovely introduction to a superior file material. Still, I paid as much for one file and a broken case as I paid for six files, each with an intact case, after I bought this one.Glass nail files and metal files seem barely related; compared to a glass file, a metal file is a grater. A glass file works with less overt resistance, drama, and noise. Unlike metal files, a glass file works in both directions. It may not seem to do much at first, but don't be misled. The back and forth motion shortens nails quickly and leaves smooth, polished edges that are harder to break or split. It's not hype; I've been surprised and pleased. 3
