Customer Reviews

Small alien hand with huge cuticles. This hand is very small, which for acrylic nail practice is less than desirable unless you will be putting acrylics on lots of children or small aliens. As other reviews have mentioned and you can even tell in the picture the cuticle bed is very high. I didn't think this would matter to me while practicing nails but it made it very difficult to file. It was cheap enough that I do not regret the purchase.3No complaints Works well - sturdy n has nice cuticle area - happy with my purchase 5Perfect for state board practicalPerf5Waste of time nd money. Too small. I dnt see how someone could practice anything on this. Its totally useless to me. Nails wont stick. Totally useless 3Looks almost real when used to photograph jewelry realistically...It is relatively small, like a small woman's hand...The 'skin' does easily get marked up and scratches do show... It stains easily with pen or marker...If you want it to use for fingernail polish (it's actual use sold for), you'll really like it because there's plenty of room to work... It is easily wiped off... I did NOT use it for that so cannot tell you if the polish stains or remover scars it... but I can tell you that putting jewelry on and off has marked up the fingers quite a bit...It stands up level, so can be used as a display or to photograph...The coloration is that of an average caucasian...4SmallA little stiff for my taste. The nail beds are very thin so it's hard to add press-ons for practive without getting it all messy.3Not Exactly Life-SizedThere's really not too much to say about a fake hand...except that this one is too small.I thought it was going to be more of an average-sized female hand...but it's really narrow and oddly shaped...the hand as well as the fingers are super skinny but extremely long...just very awkward. The nails are, naturally, the same way, which makes it difficult to practice nails on. I mean, I'm sure some women have this size/shape hand,(and no offense if you do lol), but it's certainly not an average life-size. Other than that I suppose it's an okay hand...I can't use it though. I am looking into another brand to buy to replace it.I'm a beginner and I find the awkward shape and size of the nails too difficult for me. (Maybe it would be better for somebody more experienced...)3Decent free edge but not worth the money I like that there is a free edge to fit a nail form under, that helps with practice. It also has a very sturdy base. But the seam down the middle ruins it. Especially since it's not lined up exactly straight. I'm going to try to file the line out and see if I can make it usable. Also the back of the nail is Very lifted. So it's not totally horrible. Just not quite like the picture. It looks like a cheap version of the one in the picture. 2Decent for priceThis hand was good to practice on but the only issue is that it s really stiff. It s hard to move the fingers around which makes it harder to do3Yup When ever you need a hand this will be there for you 5Great Chew ToyOur small dog likes to chew, ever so slightly on fingers...never to hurt or wound. :-) HE LOVES CHEWING ON THIS HAND!!! Safety first of course. He actually spits out the small pieces, but the thumb and the pinky, his favorite human fingers, perfect!!! Hilarious idea, and he couldn't figure out where the rest of the arm was, kept looking past the wrist! Dog chew toy...seriously. It's SAFE while parent watches close by....5It's a hard plastic which makes it hard to practice ...It's a hard plastic which makes it hard to practice on. Once you do nails on it the first time it is hard to take off and redo or paractice on... This is only for a display. For the price its ok but the details should be updated to be more specific.1Great quality Daughter needed for school project and it worked perfectly 5Better than silicone, cheaper than plastic fingersWOW. Love, love, love this practice hand! I haven't outfitted the tips yet because my focus was on how well it holds a form in place...I own a few practice gadgets, most far more expensive than this $5 item, but this is the best one for sculpting/building nails. The problem with the expensive silicone version, the "chess peices" and even the individual practice finger you can get at Sally's, is that paper forms will not stay on. To be fair, the bent practice finger is the same material as this hand (forms stick) but the bent shape makes it annoying to work with...As for the size, where it counts (the fingers) she is adult sized - unless you are suggesting that I am not an adult. LOLOnce you start working on real human fingers, you find that they come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Don't be alarmed if your client's fingers look nothing like yours - hands are pretty unique and diverse.5PerfectBetter nail deposit than my old hand. I m getting ready for state board exam and I found this item that is close to hand i was practicing in class with, and I must say I m happy with my purchase! I worried nail plate well is too deep for red color polishing staining but after I practice with hand it was no problem.5
