Blue Shampoo My mom ordered this. She has some natural gray hair but she also get highlights. This does not stain anything and it works great for her. She really likes it and she doesnt have to use it daily. Maybe 3-4 times a month. 5THE BEST SHAMPOO FOR GRAY HAIR!I just ordered 3 bottles of this shampoo! I've been out of it for a while and my hair shows it although I've been using another brand touted for the grays. I found Shiny Silver at a Sally's years ago and I have loved it ever since (the problem is remembering to go to the beauty supply when I am out and about). This morning, as I once again was forced to use a shampoo that I find inferior, it occurred to me that my favorite shampoo might be on Amazon! And, here it is! Hurrah! And the price is super good, too.I am one of those gray/white haired women who refuses to cut my hair short just because it is now gray. My worry was that I would be end up with coarse, fly-away, yellowed hair. This shampoo leaves my hair full and shiny and soft and free of yellow. It smells wonderful, too. Best of all, it is one of the few shampoos I've ever used that does not leave my scalp feeling flaky or itchy. I also love the conditioner. It doesn't weigh my hair down, rinses out well and yet leaves my hair soft and full and easy to comb out. I've also noticed that my hair doesn't flatten out or get dirty as quickly when I use this conditioner as opposed to others made for gray hair!I recommend that you order both the shampoo and conditioner. It is a "dynamic duo" for those of us with glorious gray hair!5Still not sure it fixes the yellow in my grays. After a few uses, I am not sure it is correcting the yellowness I have in some of my gray hair. I do like how shiny my hair is, but that could be from my Aveda conditioner or the "It's a Ten" mask I use twice a week. I guess it is as good as any shampoo at cleansing hair. I guess I will probably buy again. I love the purple color! 3Buy it if you think you need it, or if you have brassy or yellow tones. It does help, but give it time. Dyed my hair natural blonde color to let it heal after harsh bleaching to get out fade hair color, and this helped with the over brassy and yellow tones. I got a lot of compliments after using for just a week. This lasted me three months, and I actually skipped ordering again because I haven't had any issues since my last and final use of this product with yellow, or brassy tones. 5Winner for Reducing Brassiness I decided to grow out my hair and get down to my natural white/silver hair this past year. It's a freeing experience not having to color your hair every 4 weeks, but there are drawbacks. One of those drawbacks being the brassy color that crops up when using regular shampoos and conditions. But dont't fret - you've found the solution. And this shampoo is it, in my book! I use it 2-3 times a week, alternating with my regular shampoo and conditioner. Paired with the Shiny Silver Conditioner, it works like a charm! 5best silver shampoo Best shampoo I have found for white hair. Mine teens to easily get that yellowish tinge and I'm 75 so I have tried many. It is excellent and the cost is better than ones I have bought at beauty supply places. 5Best purple shampoo I have used I have tried just about every purple shampoo out there, a few from England too. I have to say I have found my favorite at last, I love this shampoo!I have long silver, white hair, which still has some natural blonde growing in. Since using this shampoo the blonde is definitely looking whiter.I don t find it to be drying at all, leaves my hair manageable even without using a conditioner.I use this shampoo every other day, no purple buildup either. I will continue to use too!Very happy! 5It's okay.I purchases this shampoo because my sister loves it! It seems to clean well which is great. But it leaves my already thin hair feeling a little lifeless. There seems to be no volume, even when I don't use conditioner. I tried the Shiny Silver shampoo for a few weeks and noticed scabs on my scalp (but no improvement in the color). I wasn't sure what had caused the sores, so I stopped using this shampoo. After my scalp healed, a few months later I used the shampoo again and found that it was the shampoo. I assume that either I am allergic to the shampoo or it is just an irritant to my skin. I won't be using it again. 1Works in keeping brassy tones from hair! I recently went platinum from deep red.This shampoo does in fact keep the brassy & yellow tones from my hair. It only takes a small amount, as well.I use it every time I now shampoo, and so far, no issues. It does it's job! 5no purple shampoo will get the yellow out of virgin white hair if... if the battle you are fighting is with hard water, well then just cut your hair off because Ive tried ALL the purple shampoos from cheap to expensive and none of them beat out that sulfur crap in my water.the scent is mild. lathers up nice. I like it better than more expensive purpose shampoos ive tried. So if you are a dyed blonde or platinum who wants to get the yellow out, and its not a hard water issue, give this one a try. dont bother with more expensive.this brand also has a conditioner. Id recommend not using the purple shampoo every time you shampoo. swap out and use a clarifying shampoo and this brands conditioner off and on. BTW clarifying shampoo also will not get hard water sulfur stains out of white hair. And again Ive tried them all from cheap to expensive. 4So drying!! I could tell as soon as ...So drying!! I could tell as soon as I rinsed this out that I would have to do a deep conditioner. Down the drain it goes!!!1
